You choose: are the events in your life merely coincidence or an act of fate?
I believe God places certain people, circumstances, and challenges in our life to teach us and enable us to grow. Everything we go through – the good and bad – has a purpose, whether we see it in that moment or not.
When I was diagnosed with Lupus a few years ago, I didn’t understand that purpose. I was frustrated, sad, and quite honestly, a little angry.
This wasn’t supposed to be my story.
But out of that darkness came so much light. A renewed journey to find my faith. An idea to make a cauliflower pizza crust that I could eat with my family that has now reached thousands of families not too different from my own. A networking dinner that landed me in New York City, hanging with this talented lady, @jennycarrhealth.
Jenny is an anti-inflammatory expert and successful author of “Peace of Cake.” Her work inspired me to pursue my lifelong dream of writing my own book. She showed me that my story, however ordinary to me, was worth telling if it could help someone else like hers had helped me. I guess this is my nonchalant way of revealing that I have a book coming out early next year. More details to come!
Let me ask you: what is an example in your life when you turned sour lemons into sweet lemonade? Was there a person who helped you see that possibility?
